Travelling with a larger group brings with it particular challenges. It is usually not easy to coordinate individuals on holiday. At Lagona Divers, we are in the fortunate position of being able to offer something for everyone without any stress. And that starts with the planning at home!
Our group terms and conditions
What discounts apply to group bookings?
All packages are charged at the (already discounted) online prices. The following volume discounts also apply:
6 to 10 packages: 5% group discount
11 to 29 packages: 10% group discount
more than 30 packages: 15% group discount
What constitutes a group at Lagona Divers?
We do not define groups (only) by the number of participants. Rather, we consider the joint booking of several diving packages as a group. This means that our group conditions can also be applied to a small number of buddies.
When and how do we apply group prices?
- One contact person, one invoice.
- Joint travel period (at least the majority of the days must be spent together).
- All packages in one joint booking. The packages may vary. Courses and specialities are also possible in group bookings. Only the number is decisive.
- Bookings must be made prior to arrival and the invoice amount must be settled.
- The number of packages in the booking can be increased at any time up to 7 days before arrival. The discount will be adjusted to the total number.
- The group discount is applied as a lump sum to the total bill.
- A group discount cannot be combined with other discounts or special prices. (For example, our Lagona Divers Club price is not available for group bookings.)
- Within the group, individual packages can only be transferred as a whole. Packages are not divisible.
How is billing handled on site?
Each diver is checked in individually on site and a personal file is created for them. The package assigned to them from the booking is noted on this file. We note the individual dives, trips or purchases in this file on a daily basis. Upon departure, we settle accounts with each participant separately.
What makes diving groups so different?
Groups are often viewed and treated solely as a single entity. Individual wishes are disregarded.
Our diving groups at the dive site have a maximum size of 6 divers each. This is the “unit” on which we base all our daily planning.
Different educational levels of participants
As an SSI Instructor Training Centre and SSI XR Instructor Training Centre, we are equipped to handle all levels of training. We know how different training levels can lead to exciting dives.
Different levels of experience among participants
During the welcome dive, we and each individual diver get an idea of their current diving experience (and ability), and we know that this experience can change over the course of their diving holiday with us. We adjust our diving plans, trips and groups on a daily basis.
Different interests in the diving area
Individual planning on a day-to-day basis allows us to respond flexibly and quickly to our guests’ individual interests. Not everyone has to go to the same dive site all the time.
Different requirements regarding the number of dives
Our divers choose which dives they would like to participate in each day. This way, frequent divers and occasional divers can easily dive together.
Different budgets of participants
In our groups, not all participants have to book the same package of dives. Each group participant can choose a different package for themselves.
Different age groups
Different age groups dive differently. Children are usually not allowed to dive as deep, as long or as often. At the other end of the age spectrum, seniors sometimes want to take a more relaxed approach. Our individual daily planning takes this into account and is carried out in close consultation with our guests.
Coordination of travel planning
Planning a trip for a group can be challenging. At Lagona Divers, we have travel specialists who provide professional and legally compliant support for everything from individual travel packages to large groups. Our service centre is staffed around the clock and always available.
The group leader is responsible for everything.
Our team provides support with planning, booking and carrying out the trip. In advance and on site. Our service does not begin and end at the dive site!
Booking as a group is not worthwhile.
We offer attractive discounts for groups booking six or more diving packages together.
The result: Satisfied group leaders and participants right from the start!
How a group becomes special
It can be challenging to foster a sense of togetherness in a travel group while still ensuring that each participant gets the most out of their experience.
We believe that we at Lagona Divers have a knack for this. The many satisfied groups that visit us regularly are proof of this.
One of the things that sets our group trips apart is the comprehensive service we offer right from the planning stage. If you wish, you can leave the entire process in our hands. We even offer customised tenders and flyers for the paperwork.
At the hotel, we make every effort to ensure that participants are accommodated in a building complex in the immediate vicinity of the diving centre.
In addition to diving trips, we also offer other activities that can be enjoyed together on site. A group camel ride (to go diving), our diving boat, which can also be booked exclusively depending on the size of the group, and a fabulous wadi dinner in the desert create a group experience that everyone will fondly remember.
We cater to each individual participant according to their personal needs, knowledge and abilities, without this affecting the other participants.
At Lagona Divers, we combine the advantages of group diving with individual attention for each participant: the best of both worlds – above and below the water!
What group leaders should know
Nitrox is free for divers who have undergone the appropriate training.
We do not interfere unnecessarily in the group, but see ourselves as service providers and supporters for the group leader. We therefore discuss all activities with the group leader first and foremost, and pass on and discuss any requests made to our employees by the group.
Conducting your own training dives is no problem. Provided that the diving instructor has a valid training licence, you can also conduct training with us. We do not charge any additional fees. We only require a minimum of two dives per day per instructor and student (e.g. from the package). This means that two tanks per person per day are available for training.
In our opinion, Lagona Divers – Dahab South in Happy Life Village is best suited for a diving group. Here, you also have the opportunity to try out technical diving or integrate certified technical divers into a recreational diving group.
For technical divers, we prefer to discuss services and conditions separately. Our group conditions are not always suitable in this case.

Customer service by divers for divers
In Germany, a service centre is available to answer all your questions about your diving holiday, bookings, diving courses and suggestions regarding our diving centres. Our friendly team will be happy to answer your questions by email or telephone. They can book diving packages for you or advise you on and organise complete diving trips.
